There is a lot that goes into understanding air conditioning installations. From ensuring you have all the equipment to follow the steps for the proper setup, it is essential to educate oneself before attempting the task. Starting the task blind only leads to improper results or failure to function.
The ductless mini-split is comprised of two different pieces, the indoor handler, and the outdoor condenser. After opening the box, inspect both of these units to ensure there are no defects or damages to the pieces, as these may affect the product’s ability to function properly.
Review the instruction manual to make sure all the parts are included as well.
From here, make sure you have all the tools you will need to complete the job. You should have an adjustable wrench, torque wrench, hex keys, drill with drill bits, hex saw a box cutter a pair of pliers, a level, and both a Phillips-head and a flat-head screwdriver. You should also have the proper safety equipment, which in this case means a pair of goggles and gloves. Failure to have these pieces means the inability to follow the job according to the manual.
